Christians: You actually think gay marriage should be legal, amirite?
@1907067

"Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven."
That's one of my favorite quotes.

Also, I read the context of the Matthew quote, and if you spend an extra minute to read all of chapter 10, I think you'll better understand the message.

You can at least understand why people believe what they do in terms of religion, whether they believe in something or nothing. But you will never understand devil worshippers, amirite?

It'll be nice that for the month or so between the pope resigning and a new one being elected, there'll be no one on earth that claims to be infallible (at least no one that is taken seriously by so many), amirite?

The pope doesn't just claim to be infallible all the time. If he said that pancakes are better than waffles, that wouldn't mean that it was true or that he was claiming it to be true. He is infallible on the subject of faith and morals and, throughout history, popes have made few and far between ex cathedra statements (doctrines that are infallible). It's not like the pope is claiming new things that he thinks should be true on a daily basis. I'm a catholic and he doesn't affect my life on a daily basis, so if you're not a catholic, which I don't think you are since you made this post, I'm sure he doesn't affect your life all that much.

I know what vampirism is but what's that thing when you threaten someone with eternal torment if they don't eat the flesh and drink the blood of the group leader? Oh yeah! Catholicism, amirite?

This isn't true.

Christians: The most frustrating thing about being a Christian is that people judge you because they think that Christians always judge other people, when in reality, the Bible tells believers to do the exact opposite.

I love this post.

@VicZinc The Council of Trent declared that anyone who "denieth, that, in the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist, are...

Believing that the blood and wine turn into the body and blood of Christ is an essential part of Catholicism. The Council of Trent just made that clear and said that anyone who doesn't believe it in is not a Catholic believer. And you are not "eternally tormented" as you said. God doesn't put anyone in hell. People choose to be in hell. It's not a place of eternal suffering and damnation. It's a place where non-believers spend eternity because they didn't want to love God.
Then again, this might just be my beliefs rather than the church. But don't think Catholicism is evil. It's really false and I hate to have people thinking we're all evil, judgmental, terrible people.

It is only possible to have one TRUE love or soul mate in a lifetime. Amirite?
@freespeechfreelancer The "ideal" of course is perfection. But that nasty thing called reality somehow gets in the way and throws us...

I'm sure their not wanting children isn't because of you. I'm sure you're a great father. Who needs a fairy tale anyway

You've gotta wonder how the music video for "What Makes you Beautiful" by One Direction can be considered good by anyone, amirite?
You don't always have to have a reason for your opinion, amirite?
If a friend tells me that I should not be allowed to get married due to my sexuality or race or religion, it's justifiable that I slap him or her across the face if he or she doesn't listen to reason. amirite?
@pikabeau Yes, we are allowed to vote on what we want, but we are not allowed to vote on the rights of another human being. I...

That's not how voting works in this country, majority rules the minority. The bicameral legislature makes it pretty fair to both majority and minority.

@kristin Id rather be safe and have a less advanced education system because, with the availability of the internet and...

I definitely agree with you. That's just not what I interpreted the post to be talking about

You don't have to be obsessed with pokemon to be a nerd

America shouldn't try to be the worlds super power and spread democracy. We have our own flaws, what makes us the best? amirite?
