You don't need to change yourself for anyone (trust me I've done it before). Just be yourself because everyone else is taken.
Have you ever been baited into negative, gossipy conversations at work that you wish you had never been a part of? Are there any gossipy people st your work who consistently try to infect the working environment with paranoia and negativity? How do you handle people like this?
You take a man-boy. You help him; and put him thru your Finishing School. Then, when he finally becomes what you want him to be...he turns around and uses what you taught him...on you.

I could never do that...I barely made it through Charm School myself hehe smilie

I worked with a married gal, who was footing the bills for her husband to go to medical school. When he finished, he divorced her. She was devastated. How cruel is that. A user and a loser.

@LiVi Hahaha! 😂 That is priceless. Perfect example of justice 👍🏼

The funny part was that after he escorted her to her car, she came back into the office to say goodbye to her friends. That's how nervy she was. lol At least she gave us all a laugh. lol

Has completing a university degree really improved your life and career? When you think about how many years of your life it took from you, how long it took (is still taking) to pay off debts, and the quality and pay of your job now in comparison, was it really worth it? What alternative path could you have taken?

Oh it was worth it for me,when I was working I got my employers to pay for all my classes. but I never really needed a degree to do my current work.

I haz to live a moronous life. Going to space, bwana, by an atomic rowboat. Also, very bling - even me tigress will be golden with shiny rims.

@LiVi This is true, and I think you've hit the nail on the head. If you don't join in at all, you can alienate yourself...

Yes...absolutely. People who don't work in offices are always wondering why some are going on about office politics...but i simply smile....it's definitely a tough row to hoe.
