What 3 things in your kitchen do you use the most?
@Ang98 thanks Merlin!

You're more than welcome Ang~ Thank you for having such nice manners.
This was a fun question. I'm glad to see I'm not alone. :) :)

After reading down the excellent examples you and others have made, I am in agreement with a good majority the conversation.
My quick thought the other day with the individual and grouping was in regard to people not taking responsibility for their actions. I left my comment rather open and for that I am sorry :( I haven't had much time lately to be on the computers at all. I shouldn't answer and engage in a conversation without being able to follow through.
Without further ado, I would like to explain. Humans are social animals by nature. We all need to fit in to some group, somewhere socially. As a family member we need to be accepted and respected. We need to feel others like us. We also need boundaries. Some things need to be taught and with teachings come discipline.
The amount of discipline and the style in which it is delivered is imperatively important at younger ages. This doesn't mean we ever stop learning or growing. In setting boundaries, we also learn to trust. Ex: Older person: Please don't touch the stove. It is hot and will hurt you. The stove is to cook our food. The child: Inevitably, he/she will touch the stove. After treating the child's little hand, they will know we were right and also got sent to his room, blah, blah. Same with the pets. A lot of reasons we teach animals and children is about safety for everyone involved. If you teach the lessons in a derogatory way it teaches the pupil to feel badly about something they didn't know. Ex: Same stove scenario. "Look kid, I told ya so you stupid little brat! What an idiot." This will project something is wrong with the kid and will try again to please... maybe to just get attention.
where ever there is an action, there will be a reaction. Passive-aggressive people haven't learned it's o.k. to make mistakes and are fearful of doing them. Yes, belittling any person or animal will lead to passive aggressive behavior.
I'm terrible at trying to connect links; but, I'm going to try. This is a one from Psychology Today Magazine. Cross your fingers. I hope it works! :)

Hi Chuck Tom~ I've done this before too by mistake and was devastated! I think you can take it off after you do it... Thank goodness! Hopefully it won't hurt their standing on the site if you take it off really quickly. I'm just learning too! I have found the people here are really understanding and supportive. biggrin smilie

What was your dream job growing up?
@Merlin Lil Princess~ I would like to add, I haven't had the opportunity to write much these days... here or anywhere else...

Just like you.. I have had the dream to be a writer. Who knows? Maybe we will both read each others books someday!! Big smiles!!!

What was your dream job growing up?
@Merlin To help the handicapped and to ride at Madison Square Garden in Hunter Jumpers. a Vet as well. But, I'm afraid I...

Lil Princess~ I would like to add, I haven't had the opportunity to write much these days... here or anywhere else. :( But what I do always hold with me is friends. I didn't express on my answer to your question that I also have always wanted to be a writer. I'm not a very good speller and I really am not good at my verb/noun/adverb/adjective/pronoun/...etc..
but I do have an incredible desire to make them all match....
and someday, maybe I...just maybe ..... will find the time to make them all come true..
Happy Happy!!!

If you could wave a magic wand and stop any one thing, what would you stop?
We Should Tax Congress

ABSOLUTELY!

I believe when people are on their knees and we are standing, we have the ability to help them up.

Would you rather play a game of Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, or Jeopardy?

Because it is funny. I wouldn't trust a game show to win all the money. I would do it for fun.

It's hard to answer this. It's not a yes or no question

Trying to group people isn't fair to the individual. People do things for different reasons.

If you could wave a magic wand and stop any one thing, what would you stop?
