However, those statistics usually fail to factor in the amount of driving - teens have more miles logged than the elderly so total miles logged show that the elderly have a very high accident rate for how much they drive. Additionally, the elderly person driving 35 in a 55 mph zone is just as dangerous as the teen going 70.
Not a problem, I spent most of high school convincing my teachers to let me type my assignments instead of handwriting them until I found pens that worked for me :D
I'm a lefty too! I usually use Sharpie pens or the Precision V5 pens (I don't remember the brand- might be Rollerball) and they don't smudge for me :-)
I honestly started to cry when a kid in my class struggled over the word "the". We were in 7th grade! Never have I ever wanted so badly to bang my head on my desk repeatedly to end the pain.
(:)): We could also prevent that by making prison an unpleasant place to be - many prisons feature three meals a day that are of a quality that many hard-working law-abiding citizens can't afford such as steak, television, weight-rooms, libraries, etc. There is a jail in Arizona that forces the inmates to work during the day, they eat bologna and cheese sandwiches and other simple meals that meet the necessitated calorie requirements, they sleep in tents, and wear pink undergarments - that prison has a very low repeat offender rate because after serving there, the criminals don't want to go back. You don't go to repeat unpleasant experiences, so we need to ensure that prison is an actual punishment and not a free motel stay.
(:)): I don't really buy into the whole "victims of their circumstances" excuse - regardless they chose to break the law. There have been plenty of people from similar circumstances who have never broken the law and went out and improved their circumstances through hard work. We need to stop giving out excuses to people who screw up and hold them accountable for their actions, else we'll never see improvement.
My brother's one friend brought me KFC one time when I was sick and stored it in the oven for me for when I woke up - unfortunately my mom pre-heated the oven before I woke up and ended up melting the plastic bag holding the food...oops :D
I wasn't saying anything against your post with that I was just stating my reasons for not believing the firework theory that the news throws about - sorry if it seemed like it was targeted at you specifically.
I have my alarm clock on the other side of my room and put things in my way to get to it and still manage to hit snooze only half-awake, but I purposely set it way earlier than I need because I know I'll hit the snooze button.
