Minorities may have it bad as far as how they're treated by individuals, but our country as a whole, especially under the current administration, are definitely more concerned with giving privileges to the minorities rather than caucasians and even legal immigrants. If I were a minority, I would "suck it up" and be grateful for the government's handouts (including free scholarships) instead of bitching about individual racists. And let's not forget that there is such a thing as reverse discrimination!
I have a problem with the "buddy" system. The parents chose to keep having children, so they should take full responsibility for all of them, not have the older ones take care of the younger ones. I also don't think that it's right that parents with only 2 kids make the older one stay home to babysit their younger sibling. Every once in awhile is fine, but all of the time just isn't right. It isn't the kid's kid! And on the other hand, you have kids having kids, and the grandparents are raising them. WTF? I guess I'm just old fashioned.
I have a Bachelor degree in management; thank you. I apologize for saying "Obama" when I should have said the Obama administration. How's that? They want those of us who work hard, pay our bills, pay for our insurance, etc. to pay more taxes to cover those who don't have "enough." And while they're at it, they'll take a little more from us to give to the illegal aliens too. BTW, I don't see where your comment included any facts to dispute my post, and advising me that I'm the kind of person that pisses you off doesn't exactly want me to read your opinion anyway.
Or maybe the one that made an F was just out with friends and didn't put in the effort to pass because he knew that someone else would support him.
I know that there are people in this country that honestly need help, and I'm all for social assistance when it's necessary, but too many people play the system and manage to fool people like you (caring yet gullible) into carrying them.
(I Predict a Riot): I am the OP, and I didn't intend to piss a bunch of people off. I simply posted my opinion and asked "amirite." According to the vote, most people think that I am. For those who disagree, why does my opinion matter to you?
Exactly! I'm not even convinced that Obama is pushing for socialism. I'm beginning to think that he wants to turn the US into a monarchy so he can be king.
I don't mind (too much) paying taxes to support programs that benefit America as a whole. I have a problem with paying more taxes to support programs that are designed to help others not have to work.
I was absolutely shocked when I learned that the Cash for Clunkers program was based on your income. A friend of my husband went to a car lot expecting to take advantage of the opportunity only to be advised that he - not his vehicle - didn't qualify. What??? He made too much money. He had been driving the same old truck for years and years so that he could use his money to pay for more important necessities, such as insurance!
So was Cash for Clunkers really designed to get gas-guzzling, un-green vehicles off the road? If so, it wouldn't matter what tax bracket the drivers are in.

He used to be. Not any more.

Really???
I wasn't trying to be philosophical. Did you not get the joke?
But we got you to waste your time commenting.

Very well said. You can start a new trend; Shakespearian Rap. :)

OMG, was that a serious question?
(Really.): So now you want to censor amirite posts? I wouldn't expect anything less from an Obama supporter.

So true. We already have oxygen bars.

One is upside down so you can tell the difference when you have soap in your eyes. ;)
