Guns aren't the problem they don't kill people. People kill people! Instead of attacking gun rights look at the real problem of our laxed mental health care programs. The tragic shootings are sad and are way to publicized by the media but even with stricter laws criminals will still get guns if they feel the need.
Everybody's up in arms over guns what about getting people to look at the real problem and fix health care to get sick people help to prevent these media feeding frenzies
No your missing the point pick up your phone call your local mental health facility and you have a loved one in crisis and their refusing to come in what can you do they will tell you nothing until they commit a crime or hurt someone or themselves!
If crazy people had the right care put in place to get the help they need maybe some of these senseless acts would stop tell me this if a proposal was put on your local ballot that raised your taxes $100 a year for mental health funding would you vote yes or no . In this country the majority vote NO which is sad my kids lives and my family's lives and even my neighbors lives are worth $100 how about yours
Wow a lot of mixed response on my post I wasn't trying to offend anyone just a general observation I agree assault weapons for the public are a bit much but changing laws and regulations is a waste of time and tax dollars we should put more focus on health care and our laxed mental health system . Speaking from experience it is almost impossible to get a family member the proper treatment without jumping through hoops. So ask yourself when's the last time you voted to increase a tax for a mental health bill.
Lack of health care makes crazy people more abundant but what are we trying to do to solve this delema. Lets look at the real problem it's not guns its society
Love to see people on the same page as I . They all wanna vote to ban guns but vote down a small tax increase to further the mental health programs in their communities then wonder why something like this could happen. I guess some view insanity as bliss!
If it wasn't from his mother or another family member, he obviously planned to do this he would have gotten a fire arm somewhere I agree assault rifles should be off the table for private owners but to have all this uproar blaming gun laws is as rediculous as the media using this tragedy and any other tragedy as a feeding frenzy
I say the sorry ass government should concentrate on health care for these sick people we have the poorest mental health programs hands down gun laws are strict enough if there was stricter laws these people plot to do these things they will find a way to obtain a gun with or without laws WAKE UP AMERICA the govt the problem
