How do you think school work is effecting teens?

It's not good enough if they don't know the difference between affect and effect.

I think it's just as offensive to say you love all gay people as it is to say you hate all gay people. Love or hate them for who they are, not their sexuality, amirite?
@xxdetroitxx That seems more along the lines of a stereotype than discrimination

What I was trying to say was this:
Whether you like someone or hate someone based on their sexuality, it's putting too much focus on it.
Their sexuality is a minor detail, no more important than their hair color or eye color.
When I find out somebody is gay, I don't like them more or less because I don't see anything different about them. I like them because of things I later find out about them, but their sexuality doesn't (and shouldn't) effect it

It's truly amazing that, after all the shit that the human race has gone through together, we're still assholes to eachother, amirite?

It's not like we can learn first-hand from the millenniums of experience since even the oldest of us have only been born a little over a century ago. All the lessons we learn from history are small morals we might apply subconsciously day to day. Considering humanity's history, as of the moment, we're relatively peaceful. It's accepted by a large portion of society that world peace is just a naive dream for now. To conclude it'd be more amazing if we weren't this mean to each other. Not that I don't have hope, people's capacities for good are outstanding sometimes.

A prisoner is in jail. There are two doors, one leads to freedom one leads to death. There is a guard at each door. One guard always tells the truth, the other always tells lies. The prisoner is allowed one question to either of the guards. What is the question that will take him to freedom.?

Sorry, I am a sucker for brainteaser - can't help myself

Say to either one, "If I ask you if this door leads to freedom will you say it does?"

Both must give the correct answer. The truth teller because it is the truth, the liar because he must lie about the fact that he would lie if asked.
