+525 If you don't know how to spell a word then you are supposed to look it up in the dictionary. But if you don't know how to spell it then how are you supposed to look it up? amirite?

I hope people stop asking this question after my statement....1.sound out the word to see what letters you need to look for first 2. If you know what the word means you should be able to spot the definition from the page THUS giving you your much needed spelling of said word you need spelled!

I agree with all the above. I was just going to say "google will autocorrect if you search for the word." However, you have to have a good idea of how it's supposed to be spelled. For example, you definitely can't look up how to spell 'fiancée" if you google it as 'pheancie." (tfln shameless plug!)

I used to have that problem with the word "phoenix" when I was younger. Every time, I would write it as phe...feo...fheu...phie...firebird.
