+643 The American economy could be boosted if we cut actors salaries in half. Just because they can make it on television doesn't mean they deserve millions of dollars, especially when most people can't even spare $25, and they can just throw a few thousand into a fountain. I've seen better acting in low-funded High School Drama plays. Amirite?

And who will do the cutting and where will the money go?

You are dumb beyond belief. Their money doesn't come from the government. It's a business. What you are basically saying is like saying WalMart employees shouldn't be paid as much so that the economy can right itself.

Ok, you should not pay for cable TV for the rest of your life, because you are the one paying their salaries.

Not my fault when I want one TV station i have to pay for 50 I don't want.

Yeah, this post makes no sense. Basically you are saying that we should move to a socialist system where the government can just take money away from those who have to those who don't. It's called a free market. If people want (or demand) it and are willing to pay for it, then the money goes to buy it (or supply it) and it goes to the actors. That's the way our economic system works. sorry...

I disagree with the first part, but agree with the second part. I mean, Nicholas Cage? That guy sucks at acting. How does he keep getting roles?

This shows that you know nothing about economics. Actors get paid a high amount because of their MRP (Marginal Revenu Productivity). But then you wouldn't understand that because you don't understand how economies work

yeah that makes sense. so you would want your salary to get cut in half too, right? -_-

Zero cut in half is still zero, so I am fine with my salary being cut. :) Actors literally get paid TOO much. When they act, products are released. When those products are released, they require money to obtain. Their price goes up along with inflation. If actors and anybody who works in that field had their salaries cut, those products prices would go down. And, considering most products are represented with media logos on them, that would actually save American's alot of money.Especially with the 3-16 year old group, who usually want their favorite movie/actor/whatever on their walls, pillow cases, shirts, backpacks, etc. etc. :)
