no matter how many hair bands i buy, they always seem to slowly disappear over time, amirite?

my dad used to have long hair and he'd actually be able to keep hair elastics until they got stretched out, and then he'd get a new one and keep it until it stretched out. it's like HOW DO U DO THAT!?
