Armando Galarraga pitched the 21st perfect game, whether it's in the history books or not, amirite?

Yes, that was totally messed up, I would be pretty dang mad.

didn't the ump admit he was wrong and apologize to the whole team?
by Anonymous13 years ago
yea and he was bawling after the game

think about it though guys. if the opposite thing happened (let's say the runner was called out but replay showed he was safe), nobody would be trying to take away the perfect game. Your desire to see a perfect game is interfering with your judgement of the issue. If Galarraga deserves to go down in history for throwing a perfect game he'd better get back out there and do it. I'm sure there are ball/strike calls in many near perfect games that one could point to and say that someone deserved a perfect game or perhaps a no-hitter. Umpiring is part of the game and it is unreasonable to expect 100% accuracy in their calls the same way that a manager cannot expect his defense to never make an error.

BUT THE COMMISSIONER OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL HAS THE POWER TO GIVE HIM A PERFECT GAME RIGHT NOW AND HE WONT DO IT

This season Dallas Braden pitched the 19th, then Roy Halladay pitched the 20th, and then Armando Galarraga (unofficially) pitched the 21st
