Rock is dead. Now lets get on with our lives and listen to rap, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
rap isn't music at all. it's an embarrassment to all those with musical talent.
by Anonymous13 years ago
@186371 (Enoughisenough):kinda agree
by Anonymous13 years ago
I agree COMPLETELY. To whoever wrote this, I resent you so much right now. High five, fivehundred-something people who disagreed with this post!!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wrong rap is music. Haven't you ever heard tupac, eminem, or Nas. Fake wanabee rap includes souja boy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Phew, when I saw rap is music and I just skimmed the comment and saw soulja boy I was thinking this person thinks hes good, but then I read the comment and I was relived.
by Anonymous13 years ago
This really made me mad. >:( You can go on and thinking that Rock is dead, but for me and a few others out there, Rock will live on forever. Not everyone has the same tastes in music.

You Trollin
by Anonymous13 years ago
Name one good rock song after 2004.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Dead Memories by Slipknot.
Seize the day by Avenged Sevenfold
Gunslinger by Avenged Sevenfold
Icky thump by The White Stripes
And there are many many more I can name.
by Anonymous13 years ago
anything by Eels.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Rock sucks btw.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Someone's trying to get on the worst-list ...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Rap sucks. It's not even music. You have no taste in music.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You forgot the C in crap, by the way.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, I may consider that if rap was actually GOOD...no thanx, I'll stick with M U S I C< ----(Obviously you've never heard that term "music", you should really look it up)
by Anonymous13 years ago
rap can be good, rock can be good. it just depends what artists you listen to.
good rap: eminem, cypress hill, fort minor, T.I., pittbul, canibus, nas, wu-tang clan, run DMC
bad rap: lil wayne, three 6 mafia, rap radio shit
good rock: crash kings, dirty heads, sublime, haste the day, dance gavin dance, lifehouse
bad rock: nickelback, puddle of shitt (mudd), hoobastank
there's good and bad everywhere.
by Anonymous13 years ago
@186801 (karadotcollett): *pitbull
by Anonymous13 years ago
Umm that's good rock?Ever heard of the rolling stones, led zeppelin , bob dylan , nirvana etc?
And please stop putting nickelback in the bad rock section just because it's cool to hate them.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Mind explaining how Haste the Day is rock?
by Anonymous13 years ago
^ I agree.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How long have you not been listening to the radio? Rock isn't dead.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh please. Rock is everywhere. Just because they don't play it on those crappy pop music radio stations doesn't mean it's dead. I'm a huge Eminem fan, but that doesn't mean I don't have Nirvana posters in my room.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Eminem is a racist homophobic dick!!!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Good god you obviously don't listen to enough of his music. Yeah he can say a ton of crap like that, but he's not being serious and the whole point is that he can say whatever he wants to and nobody can stop him. Try criminal, no apologies, square dance, say goodbye to hollywood...his music does have meaning. Its possible for there to be good rock AND rap music...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Rock was alive way before rap was and will be here long after rap has reached it's final mile. Not only does rock mousic have an actual meaning, but rock musicians have personalities and are individuals whereas rap singers are all replicas of each other.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Both rap and rock have actual meaning you just have to find the good artists who truly sing or rap about something fulfilling instead of girls, money and fame and for the so called rock people who classify the jonas brother and bands like all time low into rock genre. Plus I don't think real rock and rap will ever be dead just shitty pop
by Anonymous13 years ago
Lmao. I love to see all the rap haters try to argue that it's not music. Rap is music, it's a fact, deal with it. I'm wondering what OP meant by 'dead'. Even if there's not much newer rock, you gotta love the classics that will live on.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Like I meant, there aren't many good new rock songs.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You just aren't looking hard enough. There are PLENTY.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(Gaussi) Ok. I really, really, really, really disagree with you on the first part. However, I will allow that there is, indeed, SOME good rap. =) Like, the kind with actual SINGING and an amazing thing called a TUNE (and one that isn't the same six notes over and over and over and over...) I like Linkin Park's Rap, and Eminem can pretty well when the content isn't something belonging in a public dumpster outside of a brothel. And Jamaican rap is awesome, just sayin'. as for the second part, yes. =) This was really long.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Linkin Park is basically the only rap (well, it's semi-rap, but whatever) that I'll listen to. :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
Almost any DISTURBED song is awesome the only good rap-ish group i've heard is Hollywood Undead
by Anonymous13 years ago
OH REALLY. WHO WAS BETTER. DIME BAG DARRYL. OR 2PAC.
by Anonymous13 years ago
There are still a lot of different kinds of music out there.I don't know why people are just focusing on rap and rock. I like both.So what?
by Anonymous13 years ago
if you think rock is dead your insane. rap is not music. music is instruments and lyrics. i dont know about you but i hear no legit instruments in rap. you need a good guitar riff.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How 'bout country music?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahaha
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, let's listen to people with actual talent!! :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Theres more good rock then rap, but there's some good rap out there it's just hard to find.
by Anonymous13 years ago
fuck you. rap probably got shot dead because its in the getto
by Anonymous12 years ago
If you don't like new rock, don't turn to rap, seriously, there are people who care about you. Just put in AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, or Ozzy Osborne (just to name a few), that music never dies.
