(moi.): Yeah, She said in an interview that she purposely wrote out how to pronounce Hermione's in book 4 because she was tired of fans asking her.

I was about eight when I first read the books and I instinctively wanted to pronounce it Hermy-own. But my mother read a bit of the book by herself and talked about it with me and she pronounced it correctly, so I started pronouncing it like that.

Even though she wrote it out in the book, I still didn't get it. I called her "Her-moan" and I called Sirius "Cyrus". I realize now that Hermione makes more sense but I still prefer my version of Sirius.
