+207 When referring to a couple that's related to you (like "Bob and Sally"), it just sounds right to say the name of your family member first, and then their partner's name, amirite?

It's weird how that works for other things too... I have twin cousins and we always say their names in this order- Abigail and Claire- never the other way around. I just wonder if Claire feels any resentment because her name is last..

I always say "Tom and Lisa" even though I'm blood related to my Aunt Lisa. I think I usually just say the guy's name first..
