+471 Its weird how video games lose almost all their value after a few years, but CD's from the 70's and 80's cost the same, if not more, now than they did back then, amirite?

I think you mean vinyl records. CD didn't exist until the mid 80's. I'm sure there are some people out there that collect old floppy discs of games.

Yeah I think the earliest games and other retro games are pretty valuable today.. like the Nintendo 64, atari and stuff

Because technology of video games changes faster. Any CD player can play any CD but my PS3 can only play a small number of games.

All my old consoles are still worth a bit. Certain ones more then others. For the Sega MegaDrive 32X there is one game alone worth £150. And that is not uncommon to find with old consoles, rare good games keep and increase in value. Just like a lot of the old records from back then it depends on how common it was and how easy to find it is now. Then how good it was too.
