+802 Movies would make twice as much money if they followed the book all the way. Honestly, there's a REASON the book has sold a bajillion copies; don't put your own little twist on it. amirite?

At least the 5th one was... So bad! The 3rd was pretty good I thought (but Lupin's transformation made me want to cry) and so was the 6th but the 6th was only good because it was funny... not really good compared to the book. The others are just kind of "meh".

The first two were the best. Then Chris Columbus stopped producing and they kept changing directors.

They were pretty good... but I love me some Prisoner of Azkaban! That's probably my favorite movie, but it was also one of my very favorites of the books. But, yeah I'd have to agree... my movie rating (so far) is probably 3, 2, 1, 6, 4, 5. The fourth was way too long for my tastes (although the book was as well... it seemed to have the depth of the first 3 and the length of the last 3 IMO, and that wasn't a good combo) and the fifth doesn't even deserve to be mentioned. Absolutely horrible.

I agree with you for the most part. But people watched the LOTR movies, so they should make 3 hour long HP movies.

Box office earnings of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the most loyal Harry Potter movie: 249 million Box office earnings of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, the least loyal Lord of the Rings movie: 339 million I think movie studios know what they're doing.

Pride & Prejudice was a good book, but an even greater movie. There were significant looks and exhanges that really couldn't be depicted accurately through words.
