Green is going to be crucified when he goes back to England, amirite?

He didn't LOSE you the game, he TIED it. It wasn't that bad and England will still probably win this round so STFU.

Hey I didn't say he lost the game. He just messed up really badly. England should have won, not tied.

wow, way to blame the keeper. England played poorly. Rooney barely touched the ball. They all failed, not just green.

I said the same thing, and it doesn't really matter to the England fans whether or not "they all failed"; soccer is their national sport, and from their point of view it was an easy save. It's considered embarassing that England didn't beat America, because America isn't thought to be a good team when it comes to soccer. If Green had made that save, England would have finally beat America after 50 years.

What is this 'soccer' you speak of?I only heard of football.

(guci) well, since I immigrated from England when I was 5 with my family, I suppose that I now know "football" to be a dreadfully boring game where the players barely use their feet.

Whatever, what about all the chances that the English strikers had that they just blasted right into Timmy Howard's chest? I don't think Green's mistake matters, because the strikers' lack of good finishes lost the game for them anyways. They should have won 3- or 4-1, easily.
