Well, I was referring to Hinduism. You're not really supposed to date at all, because most Hindu families have arranged marriages to someone of the same religion and culture.

Someone turned you down and used their religion as the excuse? Damn! Way to get rejected! (BTW, I understand that some religions actually do require that people only date/marry people of the same culture, race, etc. but the way the OP stated it, it looks like this particular situation was BS)

A lot of the time, a person won't or can't date someone because their religon forbids them to do so or because they don't believe in dating people who don't share the same values. In my opinion, the poster needs to get over himself.

OP get over yourself, some religions, like christianity, dont want you to date other people who dont share the same beliefs. im a christian, and i dont date other christians just because i believe in not having sex before marriage or im ready and i dont want to be pressured into it. but, if you're talking about people who're just like "ohh, i cant date you.. its uh.. against my religion?" then yeah, bull.

Muslim WOMEN aren't allowed to date people who aren't in there religion, but men are. It kinda stinks cause we can't wear short dresses or skirts and at some point we have to wear head scarves and cover up completely...and you can't have a REAL relationship with someone until you're engaged to them. >:
