+1,109 Before your first chemistry class you thought that you would be mixing colored fluids in test tubes and blowing up things, amirite?

I have chemistry next year... That's not what it's going to be :O?! NOOOOO! (read with large amounts of sarcasm)

I actually loved chemistry even though I dislike science in general; our most exciting lab involved lighting hydrogen bubbles on fire. Also, I had the song Diplomat's Son stuck in my head when I read this post...spooky ;)

It's a very catchy tune.

Get ready for some serious studying of the periodic table, apparently knowing how an atom is build is very very important. Ions and isotopes is probably also going to haunt you.

Sounds joyous.

We blew up stuff and mixed colored liquids in tubes... and made ice cream! :D

OMG WE MADE ICE CREAM, TOO! BEST LAB EVER!

IKR!! Everyone was always begging for more ice cream every notes day after that. lol "Mrs. Watson, can't we just make more ice cream?? We don't need notes..." =]

It's actually basically all math :(

Most of my chem labs consisted of turning on a Bunsen burner, watching water boil, and then putting a test tube in it with some chemical. Then allowing my lab partners to copy my notes because it was always only me doing the lab. We didn't even get to make ice cream >:( That class was not a highlight of my sophomore year.
