For every animal you don't eat, I'll eat 3.

A year later and I still will lolz

Stop the slaughter!!!
I hate how all these poor cows and chickens are being slaughtered!
In chicken factories , where they get the eggs, if the baby chick doesn't look promising, they PUT IT DOWN A SHREDDER AND SHRED THE BABY CHICK!!!!
But I don't wanna be a hypocrite. I eat fish and once in a while chicken, but never red meat. That's just disgusting.
I agree. If everyone knew what really happens to make the meat they eat, there would be so many more vegetarians, but of course its just too delicious for anyone to take the time to learn about it.

It really is disgusting. I'm in 4H and every year all the beef champions sell their cows to this stand at the fair where they kill it and grill the meat, and it's disgusting because you see the meat of an animal you watched yesterday.
But still. Who can resist fresh bacon?
Nobody. xD

I've seen exactly what happens, and that doesn't make the meat less delicious. I am an omnivore and proud of it.

Too late

I eat meat, therefore I realize that even if I don't eat meat other people will so I'm not going to torture myself because bacon feeds my soul.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think it's funny how every comment from a vegetarian has one thumb down, as if one meat fanatic went through and voted down to all the people who don't eat meat.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Being vegetarian doesn't make you better than everyone else.
Stop making us look like dicks.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Personally, I don't care how the animal is treated. It is an animal, and it was put on this earth to FEED US.
I don't like animals being abused, but I also value humans over animals. Plus, it's not like it's going to waste. It's being killed to be eaten, so good riddance.
I'm eating my damn meat. If I ever choose to not eat meat, it will NOT be for the animal's benefit.
by Anonymous12 years ago
some choose to be vegetarian because of the way animals are tortured in farming factories. it's hard to be sure of what you're eating, so instead of tracking down where each piece of meat I eat comes from, I decided to give up meat. Also, I'm someone who values humans and animals equally because humans are animals. Just putting this information out there, i don't agree with OP because OP is a douche :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree with you 100%. It pisses me off when people think animals=humans or god forbid animals>humans. Funny thing is I'm vegetarian. For my OWN personal health, but I rarely tell people because they associate me some hippy like the guy above.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Exactly. Health reasons would be the only reason I ever became a vegetarian.
by Anonymous12 years ago
A lot of people became vegetarian a while ago because it was cool, and those people obviously don't think if they gave up delicious meat to be "cool".
by Anonymous12 years ago
wooooooowwwwwww. I'm vegetarian as well, but you're a douchebag for standing up and saying "meat eaters are stupid fucks who dont think"...I am a vegetarian because I have that LUXURY. I'm RICH enough to be able to be a vegetarian and be healthy. When I move out, I can almost guarantee I'll need to cut some corners and I can only pray I'll have enough money to continue being vegetarian. I'm not saying every person with money should be vegetarian, I mean even if Bill Gates eats meat, who cares? It's his decision. You should be focusing on the difference YOU'RE making by being vegetarian, and leave those with different views alone.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree, but I will point out that just because someone eats meat doesn't mean they won't be healthy. You're just as likely (if not more so because of how difficult it can be do get everything you need in a vegetarian diet, especially if you're in a shit town and have no access to anything) to be unhealthy as a vegetarian.

I LOVE YOUR COMMENT.
Both here and in reply to mine.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Im a vegetarian too, but you seem like a pretentious bitch and you give us a bad name.
by Anonymous12 years ago
In no way am i trying to be pretentious. it was just a quote i read somewhere and i wanted to see if people agree. i dont give anyone a bad name. chill.

I think the main problem isn't that people are eating meat, but that people are eating too much meat. Plus, as people have said, the treatment of animals. However, a lot is changing with all these exposing movies/documentaries being made. However, people will always want their fast food in overly large quantities. We've just got to do our best to fix the problems, and what the OP is doing isn't going to help one bit.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I disagree with vegetarianism. Not in the "I HATE YOU, YOU VEGETARIAN!" sense, but the "I would never become one" fashion. I get that animals get slaughter and treated cruelly. That is awful! But, it isn't the only way to get meat, you can get truely organic animals. You just have to look up certain farmers that sell them. We are omnivores, we are meant to eat both meat and plants. If we were meant to be herbivores we would be herbivores, but we are not, so I am not changing. I do, however, try my hardest not to eat at fast food restaurants. I try to eat as organic, antibiotic-free, well treated animals as possible.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm a vegetarian as well, however thinking you're superior for not eating meat is just ridiculous. I don't think that not eating meat will save any animals, because those animals are bred soley to be slaughtered. I disagree with animal cruelty and how they are treated at abattoirs however I don't think I am in any way making a difference. Being a vegetarian is completely a personal choice and OP is an idiot.
by Anonymous12 years ago
i dont think im superior for being a vegetarian. it was just a quote that i read. chill.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I am human, therfore I am omnivore, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
This really makes no sense. I don't know what way to interpret it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
first: I dont mean to come off as "im better than everyone because im a vegetarian" this was just a quote i read somewhere and i wanted to see how many people agreed with it.
second: i know my being a vegetarian wont stop animals from being killed, its my personal choice based on my personal morals.
i respect everyones opinion and im sorry if i came off as pretentious in anyway at all. :)
