(FUTbol<3): Not really. Everybody in my town is excited right now because my towns team, the Portland Timbers, is about to go MLS. I am not much of a soccer person, but I might give it a try in 2011.

i hate when people were like being so hardcore for usa team, but i wanted to tell them "do you know the shit? name all 11 starters if you can" those who r truly fans watch soccer at any time, even watch premiers

OMG where I live everyone is flipping out and everyone begs the teachers "Put on the World Cup!" I mean it's okay, but these people are obsessed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know. I'm usually not obsessed, but world cup is pretty much all I watch habitually besides the office these days.

Completely untrue. My family watch games of Chelsea and Manchester United, and a bunch of other teams. We're avid fans, and I know a bunch of other people that are too.

Hey I wrote this. So it is true, actually. How many Major League Soccer teams does the US have compared to all of Europe? and The main sports here are Football (American Football, none of that "futbol" crap) basketball and baseball. No one started caring about soccer until MLS grew to more cities, like Seattle, and like someone said Portland.

americans suck at football/soccer. Man Utd all the way!

It's just harder to be a soccer fan in America because the MLS isn't at the level of European soccer, so it's kind of a pain to watch good soccer. Also soccer is very underreported which makes it seem unpopular. But think about it, soccer is one of the most popular sports for kids.
