teenage relationships are more about experience then making them last

My boyfriend and I are 14 and are coming up on 2 years in a couple of weeks. That's pretty long for 6th-8th graders. Also, I know a couple who has been dating since the summer before 8th grade, and they're now freshmen in college.

I've been dating my boyfriend since I was 13, I'm 15 now and we're still happily together after many fights. Its also a mainly long distance relationship witch makes it much harder.

sure that happens sometimes but you can't just lump all relationships together like that. i've had a relationship that ended like that, but many others that ended for entirely different reasons.

My last boyfriend did this, but I have a friend who's been dating his girl for a year, and they are very much in love so I don't think this happens all the time

My boyfriend and I are coming up on our year anniversary. We've had our fair share of fights and struggles, but we've always pulled through, because we recognize how happy we make each other, and in the long run fights are silly. I know a few couples quit similar to us, and judging by the comments, other people do too. Your post refers to what appears to be the a minority of teens.
