*cough* Telephone *cough* Seriously, the song itself is basically just about an annoying guy who keeps calling. In the video, she gets stripped by prison guards in a jail, and then goes and poisons people with Beyonce, and then is on a cooking show.. Like, what the fuck is that about?

I don't think they do all the time. I mean the sub-genre of rap (or at least I think of it as one) spoken word is a good example. The videos usually just have the person talking... the person rarely talks about the fact they're talking so that's pretty unrelated to the song...
