+623 People always make fun of pale people during the summer, but us pale people who glob on sunscreen lose risk of skin problems when we are older, amirite?

But you're going to be white and ugly now. /:

You're going to look like an old, wrinkly piece of leather when you're older, and we are still going to look young. In the end you will be the ugly one.

Who says white is ugy? White is beautiful. Just as any other skin color is beautiful.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The people like me who are Hispanic and born with naturally golden or olive skin don't get sunburnt and have even less risk of getting skin problems.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have olive skin color and usually dont use sunscreen and dont get burnt and dont get really tan either so i still look nice and tan now and i will still be fine when im older lol....so for all those pale ppl...SUCKS TO BE YOU LOL jk

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What if you're like me and put on sunscreen but still manage to get a golden tan? I get the looks and the health.

My mom never tanned and everyone thinks she 32 when shes 52, but its true, I'd rather be white or only a little tan then orange with cancer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some of us Americans are naturally tan all-year-round and healthy. We're not all white Caucasians who turn piggy pink when tanning.

im so pale i belong in the twilight series. but like i would rather be WHITE then BURNT.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm ultra pale, but I don't mind it. I used to tan, but then I thought, "Why?" I really don't think being tan works for me... And it is very unhealthy. It's one thing to use sunblock and get tan [in which case, the sunblock might not be strong enough], and it's another to just sit in the sun and risk cancer. My grandma died of cancer, so I don't want to risk it.

I am so fair skinned and I'm literally allergic to the sun and I live in ARIZONA! Haha, my daily lotion is SPF 100. No joke. But I wouldn't change my paleness for anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are we seriously arguing about the color of people's skin? That seems like a step backwards.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It is somewhat of a step backwards, considering the world we live in today. But also considering the world we live in today, people are still arguing about skin color.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not true. Sunscreen is full of toxic chemicals that haven't been tested by the FDA and are potentially more dangerous than UV rays. Besides, you need Vitamin D to be healthy and that only comes from the sun.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's true that you need Vitamin D from the sun so it's good for a person to get outside for a little while each day but that's different from laying out for hours each day so you can turn really dark.

Sunny D...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yeah, skin problems (cancer) = LOLOLOL. Seriously, wtf?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't tan, it's like impossible for me. But for all fo you who aere saying they have a "natural tan" it doesn't matter, your still exposed to the sun, while us paleies have sunblock on, so were protected...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because you're naturally tan doesn't mean you don't use sunblock... I use sunblock everyday but I'm naturally tan because I'm half black. But, still, pale people can look just as good as tan people. Most of the time, your natural skin color looks better.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

true. But it's cool, id rather be pale than orange..(not saying u are, im saying like fake tans)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being tanned doesn't look more attractive than being pale! Risking getting skin cancer to look "better" is absolute stupidity! I can't agree enough with you!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Im quite pale and when we were learning about DNA and albinism, one classmate even asked the teacher if i was albino, and i don't think it "SUCKS TO BE YOU!" . In like the 1700-1800's everyone wanted to be pale, and then they wanted to be tan, its just like fashion. I don't understand why people want to be tan anyway? Everyone looks better in their own skin and sometimes being tan isn't unhealthy either, you just have to make sure you have sunscreen on to protect yourself from "skin problems".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sun is good for you, but not too much sun. Some people can't tan, and some people can't help it. It all depends on your situation.
