I take all honors and a couple AP's and have straight A's, but I still hang out with people and have fun. If "having a life" means doing drugs, drinking and having sex, then no, I don't have a life. OP is so right. Can't wait to see all the druggies at our high school reunion!

I cannot more strongly disagree with you. School is retarded and serves not a lot of purpose in life. I could debate this to no end. But I will sum it up with this; School was originally created so that when people were brought up, they were brought up obeying authority, so they would so later on and throughout their life. Which would you rather do: Go take a history test or Go see the pyramids Do something interesting with your life, please.

Sorry but I'm so tempted to call you a dumbass right now. First, in elementary you learn the basics of everything. Anyone who can't make it through that is basically useless. The better you do in middle school, the better high schools you have the chance to go to. If you get good grades at a good high school, getting accepted into a good college will be much easier, and you will have a much better understanding of the material and has a better chance of not getting kicked out. The better colleges look much better on yor resume, and the people who go to those colleges are more likely to get better jobs that make more money, and I'm pretty sure what career you have is a pretty big impact on your life. Second, this post is saying that those "nerds" DO have lives. What you said is completely irrelevant.

I was the 4.27 GPA valedictorian of my class this year. Took every AP class and all that shit and I still got drunk and stoned every night of the week. Partied with the German exchange students and everything. I found that school isn't about memorizing every meaningless fact. It is about cracking down, paying attention, and doing what the teacher says. If you simply pay attention and do the work you will get the grades no matter what you do after school, like me. So go ahead. Finish the vodka, smoke a bowl. Just do what your teacher asks and you will be fine in life.
