+162 Why can't Justin Bieber sing about love at 16, but when MJ was like 5 it was fine that he was singing about love, I mean MJ is awesome and all but it's kind of hypocritical Amirite?

I never thought of it that way. That being said, MJ was forced into music by his father, and as far as I know the same does not apply to Beiber.

Uh, MJ didn't write the songs, and they weren't just essentially "I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you" 50 times. Also, the Jackson 5's songs were tasteful love songs, not just blatantly saying it.

I don't think Justin writes his own songs, but I'm not entirely sure.

I've always wondered that too..

I mean technically .. Michael was 10, but fair point. I think it goes more for the overall point of the song. Michael's songs tended to be more about passion and music as a whole, while Justin aims for being a teenie bopper, with songs with no heart or emotions behind them, written just to sell themselves. The talent aspect doesn't hurt either.

Really? You have to admit, Justin Bieber really does have talent. When you look at his videos of before he got famous, you can see how much talent that he really has.

I wasn't putting the boy down. I agreed with the original post. I'm not a fan of the teenie boppers, but you can blame my 10 year old sister for that. I would probably even be a fan if he sang music with more of a purpose. And yes, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the video of teenie tiny justin going, "my name is Justin! and this is how I drum!!" then actually drumming with skill. If he can break from whatever contract he's under, he could be really big. That being said, I still think Michael is more talented, even as a child.

Of course he has talent. Bill gates has money but that doent mean we should accept it if he started funding terrorists

What the...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Soooo... from the score you guys think 1) Bieber actually has no talent, not that he has talent but is using it for bad things 2) Bill Gates has no money or 3) You want Gates too fund the terrorists?

But you can't really name a guy Justin Beiber's age who ISN'T singing teenie bopper songs...at least someone in the pop genre. Jessie McCartney was doing the same stuff, and he didn't get nearly the same amount of heat. JM's voice sounded like a girl's, too. Maybe times have changed. We have now entered an era where it's popular to relentlessly make fun of a star because of their sexuality (JB isn't even gay like people keep saying). I'm sorry, but whenever I hear people make the stupid Beiber jokes, I think one thing: "Grow up!" Oh, and I'm not disagreeing with you. MJ clearly had more talent. I'm just sayin'.

Michael Jackson wasn't a C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER

What people seem to forget/ignore is that Michael jacksond top era of music was long before electrical alterations, he sung just as good on record as on stage because they were both just him singing. Now a days most artists have every song pumped with reverb and raped with auto tune until it's exactly how they want it to sound.

Michael Jackson could actually sing.
