I have watched/read a lot of content on atheism and I am not convinced, so I am now on the quest try to find WHAT is so convincing to them.

i'm a religious jew and i'm fully with you on that. The only reason i believe so strongly is because i researched all the other possibilities. The more research i did the more i realized that the complications in every religion or lack thereof can be explained thoroughly by its followers. One person can be an idiot but it's pretty damn hard to convince millions of something baseless. But the more i researched the more i became convinced that my way of life was truth. I don't push it on others and i wish others would start being more open minded about this topic and stop trying to push their beliefs on me and start being respectful.

That really depends on whose viewpoint you're taking. If you look at it from a Christian standpoint, there's the whole Garden of Eden thing, so the first people believed in a god. If you look at it from an atheist standpoint, who knows what those people thought?

If God is proven not to exist, then that means nobody would believe in God, which would make everyone an atheist. I would love to experience that. Some people think I'm a terrible person because of the stigma attached to the word atheist. I judge people based on how they treat others, not for their religious beliefs or lack thereof.

I think the point was that without the belief that people hold of there being a god there would be no atheists because there would be no belief to contradict. Personally, I've read many books on both subjects, from both sides and found that The idea of God is very unlikely, especially in the sense of the clock maker. However if God was simply the force that created the world (big bang) instead of the deity that decided to make everything, than views would be slightly different. BTW You cannot believe in the bible and evolution because they are contradictory.

um , well that would be true if atheists were people who hated god . but atheist just means you dont believe in a higher power . so if there was no god to possibly believe in , then everyone would be atheist because nobody would believe in a higher power . clever post tho (: i am an atheist myself btw .
