It doesn't have to be a gun. You can use almost anything in your house as a weapon. The knives in your silverware draw, a frying pan, a baseball bat etc. Even things you don't think of as weapon, like a printer can be used as a weapon. You have the right to protect yourself, and you should fight to do so, because if you don't you'll get hurt, or worse.

It's possible to accidentally kill someone if you use a knife to protect yourself, too. It's possible with every form of self-defense. The only solutions are for people to stop attacking others/breaking into houses, or for people to stop protecting themselves.

Wtf that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Guns cause wayyyy more problems then they solve and honestly even if someone was robbing my house I wouldn't want to shoot them. So bloody glad guns aren't legal here.
