-80 Most Christians don't know the violence that their religion has been responsible for, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If they are, they should be ashamed of following such religion. :)

At first, I figured you were a butthurt atheist and then I realized that you're an idiot. y

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, and I should be ashamed to be white cuz a while ago some of my ancestors had black slaves.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't like people who are so ignorant, they don't realize that there will always be extremist for every belief :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Regardless of how many there currently are, there's only a certain amount of "extremists" before it becomes obvious it isn't just a matter of people but the whole religious mindset in general, particularly monotheistic.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How many faithful Christians are you friends with that like to kill people who disagree?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

by faithful do you mean extremest right wing ?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

None because they don't actually get their morals from their Bible due to shameless cherrypicking (and thank God for that!). If they truly did then they'd probably be a very awful human being and would probably end up in either jail or a mental institution haha

Actually there are more Hindu extremists than Christian. Of at least they are more violent. A few years ago more than 10,000 Christians were killed or displaced when a Hindu mob started burning their houses down and killing them.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

My golly, Christians never did anything like that (I mean like mobs of. not generalizing here)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

have you heard of the crusades? or of the spanish inquisition? do you study history? or even the more recent history of england?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Obviously they did. But this was a reply to Logan's comment where he said Hindus don't do that. Also when was the last time you can say Christians did that?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Sorry that's what I meant to say. But since you used Hinduism as and example that's what I was talking about

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think they know, as people point it out often enough. But that doesn't mean they themselves agree with it. Don't judge all Christians by the actions of other Christians. You can dislike the religion without disliking the people that follow it. It's not hard, I would know.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Like the kind person above said, don't judge a groups members for actions that don't include everyone. Also don't judge modern day Christians by what their ancestors did. And more so, that violence was caused by secular forces (Kings, Nations) in the name of religion but not the religion itself. And that was also during the reign of the Catholic church when the pope controlled everything; this was before Protestantism, Presbyterianism, etc. came into play

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You could say this about any group of people.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Maybe not 100 years ago, but they sure as hell do now, with all the atheists constantly reminding them. You can't blame modern day Christians for actions of people other than themselves. It's like saying "oh, white people enslaved black people, so we should think that all white people are racist." Sometimes it's true but not usually.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

They know, they just really don't care.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people" Religion doesn't kill people, people kill people
