by Anonymous13 years ago

by Anonymous13 years ago
@marsellas and poppinyouall
How do you know? Are you british?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha I doubt that will happen since us Americans are so stupid
by Anonymous13 years ago
it's a stereotype, SOOOOOOOOOOO many Americans are smart and average, many more than the below average. but then gain Obama and Bush weren't very popular.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Fuck the British! Nobody needs them! They were horrible to Ireland! and to America!
by Anonymous13 years ago
shut up fucker we invented your language fool
by Anonymous13 years ago
and to France, let me add!
by Anonymous13 years ago
APART FROM THE FACT THAT WE BASICALLY CREATED THE BASIS OF YOUR COUNTRY?
We accept our countries history, and many other countries, like America, don't. We learn about our mistakes, you learn about how fucking great America is. How the fuck where we mean to France? You know, what with them taking over in 1066...
If any American wants to live in England, I'm willing to swap.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh trust me, I learn plenty about how the US has fucked up. The war crimes with in the vietnam war etc.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm sure most Americans are lovely. I plan to live there. But you have some of the most blindly patriotic assholes ever.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That is very very true. My neighbor, who refuses to believe that America has ever made a stupid move, is a prime example of that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
lol I actually wanted to move to England.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I have nothing against the British, I just don't care what they think.
by Anonymous13 years ago
is it true that you americans have to do the pledge of allegiance every day at school or is that just what the movies tell me?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes we say the pledge every day at school. It's not just in the movies.
by Anonymous13 years ago
assuming you're not just humouring me, that seems so crazy. I can't imagine how distainful brits would be if something similar was introduced!! Oh well, more power to ya.
by Anonymous13 years ago
depends on what school you go to. i did it in elementary school but once i got to middle and high school i never did.
we also do it at huge events with a bunch of people, like a sporting event or whatever.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, not anymore. Well at my school we don't because a lot of people disagree with the "under god" part.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm in Texas, and we say both the American pledge and the Texas pledge.
by Anonymous13 years ago
@jesst: i've never been asked to say the pledge of allegiance anywhere. we sing the national anthem at sporting events, but no pledge.
Yeah, I'm proud to be an American and I'm sick of european countries stereotyping americans as fat and lazy. I am neither, thank you very much. I've always wanted to live in Spain because that is where my family is from and I think it is a beautiful country but I am rethinking it because of the asshole european people I know. and I wish I wouldn't base a whole continent off the few europeans i know, but hey... that's what they are doing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i have nothing against brits but honestly? why are you stereotyping us americans? We are not all lazy, fat slobs!
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't want the British to like us, they all think we're fat and lazy pigs.
Therefore, I think of the British as people who are dental hygiene challenged.
You stereotype Americans, and America will stereotype right back at you.
So don't bitch when an American stereotypes, we have to endure the 'fat and lazy' stereotype.
by Anonymous13 years ago
We have the best dental hygiene in the world.
And whilst I love Americans, you are the third fattest country in the world. o-o.
Britain's the tenth, which isn't good either.
I'm just pointing this out, because I'm planning to move to Arizona after Uni anyway
Also: Doesn't your school system waste money? o-o What with the school just for Year 7 & 8? Iunno. I always thought it worked like that, but I'm probably wrong.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Where I live (Michigan) there is a seperate building for only 9th grade while 6th 7th and 8th all stay together. It still is a HUGE waste of money, but I understand the want for more space in the highschools.
by Anonymous13 years ago
The first statement, what is your source?
Also, I was pointing out that not all Americans are fat and lazy, contrary to popular belief of foreign countries. It depends on what state you live in America, actually. Most Southern states seem to have higher rate of obesity, while the East Coast, the Southwest, and the Western states have lower percentages of obesity. (http://imaginativeamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/imagi_obesity_map.jpg)
The states set their own school systems up, so not all school systems waste money.
Some places have buildings for K-8 and have a high school, while some have K-6, 7th and 8th, and 9-12. It just depends on where you go and on the population.
For an end note, don't stereotype if you cannot handle being stereotyped, or simply, the Golden Rule: Treat others how you want to be treated.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm british and I don't mind the americans I think they can be a bit up there own arse but there alright
