+406 It would suck if one of your friends died because they were reading a stupid text message ("what u doing") that you sent and got in a car crash. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

that's probably the reason why it's illegal to text and drive. not that it's stopping anyone. who's ACTUALLY going to pull over to send a text message? lets be honest here, haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My father doesn't. If I am or someone else is in the car with him, he'll have one of us send the message. He told me otherwise, he pulls over.

Implying it's illegal to text and drive throughout the United States...

It would suck if one of my friends died in general...

"what u doing" "dying :("

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How reading that comment went: "Hahaa!" "...Omg, I'm a horrible person"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"what u doing" "chilling with god, wbu?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Hey let me txt u back in a min. Imma try to get out of this car b4 it explo" -

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They sent the message without finishing it? That's stupid.

I know, what an asshole.

There was a story about a couple who were texting and he ended up running her over because they were both distracted, him as he was driving and her as she was crossing the road.

I tried so hard to read and understand this comment

by Anonymous 12 years ago

that might be your fault not theirs...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ha, I saw that on 1,000 Ways to Die :D

One of my classmates died instantly from talking on the phone with her brother while driving. He heard the whole thing over the phone. Texting is even more dangerous.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well yes... "It would suck if aliens took over, amirite?" "It would suck if you got cancer, amirite?" amirite is supposed to be clever, not obvious shit like this

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This kid I know died on a car accident while she was replying to a text from her mom asking her where she was. She would have been 17 September 9th.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But honestly, it's the driver's fault for reading the text. I mean, how is the sender supposed to know that they're driving?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's not gonna stop you from feeling guilty though...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh no of course it's not. It's just that they might blame themselves for their friend's death when it's not their fault at all, it was the driver's decision to read the text.

A kid in my school was texting while driving one weekend and crashed into one of the cafeteria workers. He was 16 and she was in her early thirties, and they both died instantly. It was on his girlfriend's 16th birthday too.

I think "mind-blowingly horrible" is the expression you're looking for.
