I always just pause it at random times (it's 2011). I also change the channel, then click a button which I think is called "back", and because I recently changed it, it just plays the same part over and over again. Similar to repeatedly pressing the same number while watching a buffered youtube video.

Same with cross country, runner faces are hilarious, and embarassing.
