+277 America should legalise gay marriage, amirite?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

What would be the point to gays getting married? Their system has worked for centuries, why mess with it.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

lesbian marriage should also be leaglised

by Anonymous 14 years ago

no thanks i dont want this country to burn

"Don't support gay marriage? Then don't get one and shut the fuck up"

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Don't support killing homosexuals off? Don't do it I'll be happy to go it myself!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

lol, That's horrible. |:

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Wow, you are one horrible f**k. What's the point in hating people just because they're different? How do people like you help the world in any way?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Marrarge should only be between a man and woman. "marriage" is a religious bond. And since Jesus didn't want same sex couples. He did not want it to happen. Jus so ya kno, y'all who agreed to this post are oblivously stupid and uknowing of the religion "Christianity"

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Or just...aren't Christians. There ARE other religions out there.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

And most Christians actually realise nowadays that being gay isn't a sin.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

OP, I was just thinking about this the other day.. This issue just makes me rage to no end. I see no plausible reason for America NOT to legalise gay marriage. It isn't as if it's directly affecting them and for all the Christians harping about it isn't right and the Bible doesn't condone it, well there are plenty of heterosexual people who partake in activities that Jesus and the Bible look upon as sinful, yet America isn't infringing on their rights or denying them marital rights. =/

OMG a voice of reason! Hallelujah!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Why don't you just call it a "Union" instead of "Marriage" and have some type of sanctioned gay person do the ceremonies. You can still get what you want if the grass truly looks greener on this side. :-/ Why do you need to tear down what has been centuries old?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

With time things change and these changes should be accommodated. So, just because it's "centuries old" doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed. Also, why should they have a "union." Why can't they have a marriage just like everybody else? Why should their sexuality make any difference, just because marriage is defined a certain way? It's stupid, it's discrimination, it's close-mindedness, and it isn't right. It's really a shame I live in the Bible Belt; I doubt my state will ever legalise gay marriage.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I don't get the concept. You're different and demand that it's OK and want to be seen as different but now you want to be the same in a heterosexual sense? You want to be heterosexual gays? I'm just not getting it.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Gays are different, but just because they want the same rights as heterosexuals doesn't mean they want to BE the same. |: There's a difference..

by Anonymous 14 years ago

So what exactly is it about marriage that appeals to gays? What would happen when one gets a sex change, do they get it annulled?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I would think it's just the principal behind the matter, like knowing that if they really wanted to they would have the freedom to get married to whoever they pleased. If gay marriage was legalised, a sex change wouldn't matter (if they were planning to stay together), because either way it'd still be a valid marriage between two people who love each other.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I'm sorry, that was a poor attempt at humor as I am all tapped out of replies. Seems we are going in circles. I suppose it's like a social club or event where one kind doesn't want another kind to come in as it would tear down it's meaning of doing it in the first place.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I'm a bit out of it right now, but whatever you just said makes it seem like that one kind is snobbish and a bit stupid for wanting that.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Everyone is snobbish and stupid somehow. Why do you have to be Jewish to have a bar miztvah? Why do we need citizenships? Why do I need to get a new drivers license if I move to a different state? Why do doctors have to get a new license when going to a new state?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Eh.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

U guys don't get do u? MARRAGE is a CHRISTIAN thing. any TRUE CHRISTIAN does NOT believe in GAY marrage because it's not ALLOWED by God. If these "people" want to be "together" let them get "partner" papers. NOT be MARRIED.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

First off, lrn2spell. Marriage. Second, marriage is not JUST a Christian thing.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Screw spelling. Also yes marriage IS a Christian thing. And it does not permit the coupling of 2 people of the same gender.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

That is something I don't get. Some of the crap the Bible permits is horrendous, yet it won't allow two people in love to get married? And no, it's not just a Christian thing. Jews marry, too.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Marriage is a religious thing. And in no way do they allow GAY marriage. :P

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Marriage is NOT a christian thing. This is the 21st century, not everyone believes in Christianity. Not everyone has to have their lives controlled because you think it's not "right." Let people run their own lives.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It should never have become illegal. And it's NOT officially a christian ceremony: people in ancient Rome and Greece for example already married way before christianity even existed.
