I'd go by my middle name, unless that was worse, in which case I'd make my own name up and go by that.

If my name was Gertrude, I think I'd shoot myself. That is one of the ugliest names for a girl that I have ever heard. No offense to anyone named that. But if you are named that, I am sooooo sooo sorry for you. Off topic, sorry. I'd probably go by Trudy if I was unfortunate enough to get that name.

If my name was Gertrude I'd go by Gertie. If it was Agnes I'd probably just go by Agnes.
