+68 if it's okay for guys not to shave their body hair, then girls shouldn't have to shave either. it's just not fair, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

so im assuming ur either a hairy woman, or a guy who enjoys hairy women..... Either way, their both creepy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You realize that all women have body hair, right?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You realize that most women shave, right?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah I do too, but that's kind of the point of the post isn't it. Both men and women have hair. Only one gender is supposed to shave practically their whole body

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Theyre* My mistake

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're* Just helping out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually it's their, had it right the first time.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm pretty sure they were talking about the first comment, not the post.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sorry, got confused because they started a new comment thread and were anon, like the OP

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I understand, bro, I made the same mistake at first.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Boys should look manly so that girls could feel safe in their arms (which is why boys should not shave their legs, put make up on, wear pink and tight clothes, etc.). Girls just should look pretty and I can't see how a girl can be pretty when she looks like a monkey.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is so much wrong with this comment. It makes me sad.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why? I read your comment down below and I guess you think I'm one of those people who .. well, do and talk as the society wants me to, but I'm not. I just find some things attractive and some things not. And please don't start the whole inner beauty stuff, 'cause that's a completely different story.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The whole "boys should not wear pink or tight clothes" and the "girls should just look pretty." How come a boy still can't look manly that way? And it reads as you just reduced girls to objects whose sole purpose is to sit around and look pretty.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I didn't mean that at all. And I asked you not to talk about brains and inner stuff because I didn't mention it in my first comment for a reason - the post is about appearance. P.S. I was going to write a lot of things explaining my thoughts but I kinda have this feeling that this argument is getting nowhere. Plus, its the Internet and I dont really care if you get what I'm saying or not. So lets end it here. :]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

angry

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i agree ^

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a fetish for that, but I will warn you that if you take that path, you'll meet some very creepy men. Plus, you think you'd be able to do it, but you'd feel extremely insecure as a hairy woman, or you'd just be the "confident" freak who does it for no reason but to rebel to society and whenever people tell you to shave you'd flip out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Shut the fuck up, hippie. If you don't want to shave, don't shave and stop bitching about it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly. Who's telling them they HAVE to shave..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Society? But seriously, I agree with you both.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hah yeah, but not everyone listens to society unfortunately :(

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like it or not, guys and girls are different. Yes, we may both be humans, but we are two different types of humans. Girls are naturally meant to be protective. Guys are naturally meant to be stronger. Girls have breasts. Guys have dicks. Girls bleed out the vagina every month. Guys have a tender area. It is only natural that we be treated differently. That's how the world works. Until you learn to reproduce asexually, you're going to have to live with it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They shouldn't HAVE to shave. And there was a period in life when no one cared if they shaved. But at some point, society was like "Nah, I ain't like prickly ass women no mores" and then women started shaving to look more feminine. And then ads started popping up everywhere about shaving. And then men started taking women shaving for granted. And then women felt the need to shave. Just how a few decades ago it was okay for girls to have pubes, and now it's gross. No one said they HAD to shave, but they are indeed pressured to shave. Just like no one tells you that you HAVE to be skinny. But society pressures you. </endrant>

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Did you know obesity is a sign of wealth?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It was, back when healthy food wasn't so expensive, because people grew it in their backyard. Also in third world countries because of their general lack of food. But not in developed countries, since the cheaper food is what makes you fat. BUT. I feel like this was a rhetorical question.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why yes. Yes I did.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

prickly-ass women? or prickly ass-women? Either one is frowned upon

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Actually the first women to shave their private areas were the Muslims in the Middle East during the Middle Ages, or even before. Ironyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I remember hearing that somewhere. Wasn't it for religious reasons?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not sure it was just mentioned in a book I was reading and I was like whoa really! & btw your picture made me think it was the picture for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, so I decided to watch the trilogy and I loved them. Just thought you should know (even though its not it, ahaha )

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not even sure what that is, haha.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha most people don't but it's a trilogy of Swedish movies that are going to be made into English versions in 2012 I think, or at the end of this year so you'll probably find out soon enough. But if you have Netflix you should def check it out.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Alright. I'll have to wait. =/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Of course it's "okay" for girls not to shave. Anyone who truly thinks otherwise, I think, would be sexist. The only reason I'd tell my partner to shave, though, is because I have an attraction to smooth skin. Sue me.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't shave then. If you really don't want to, then no one is telling you that you have to.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

idk about you, but when I don't shave my legs or underarms I feel like sweat gets trapped there and it feels gross. But shaving is kind of like make up. Some people prefer it, some people don't. I like to, it doesn't mean everyone has to

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I just never understood how shaving any other part of your body besides your face was suddenly considered feminine. I have no idea how that got started. It's just a nuisance that seems to have been added purely to sell products. I WILL say that shaving can grant some relief. Leg hair getting unpleasantly ruffled in pants, armpit hair is just...uncomfortable. Anywhere where it's really a problem, shave if you want. But it shouldn't be womanly or manly, as media (and the general society) portrays it. I get it, nobody's forcing anyone to shave. But for some reason, the standards for being attractive keep changing according to whatever product is most easily sold or marketed. Not everyone follows them, but the constant barrage of advertising certainly sticks in our brains. Women cover up their faces with sometimes damaging products, nearly everyone dyes their hair color, countless people tan, there's some "ideal weight" or muscular structure, now-- It stopped being about health and became about money, instead. That's the problem, really. No one's forcing anybody to do anything--but they're certainly influencing them in a specific way.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I personally like it when a man keeps his body hair trimmed. I just don't find it attractive when a man lifts up his arms and I see enough hair under there to re-write the story of Rapunzel.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha I love guys without underarm hair. It grosses me out. All underarm hair in every gender. But I have some sort of weird fondness for guys happy trails. wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think it's creepy when a guy shaves his legs or armpits. It's part of the reason I don't watch Disney with my little brother anymore.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

well, pubic hair was put there to keep bacteria out of genitals. But now we live in such a hygenic society that it's unneccesary
