People need to start taking marriage more seriously, and need to stop divorcing so much, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
"I F****** LOVE YOU!"
"LETS GET MARRIED!"
The next morning...
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house?!"
In case you didn't know, a good portion of marriages happen when drunk.

And I don't even know his last name! My mama would be so ashamed!

(Chauncy Pickles): It started out hey cutie where're you from, and then it turned into oh no what've I done?!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Even though I hate to admit it, sometimes I smoke cigarettes.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Christian folks say I should quit it, I just smile and say God bless.

Cause I'm a WILDFLOWER!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Hey I'm a wildfower soakin' up the sunshine!
by Anonymous12 years ago
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Chauncy Pickles): Damn you got me. Those are the only words I know to that song.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's okay. I didn't really have an exit strategy.

(Chauncy Pickles): It was a good run though. Not many people like country.

Yes, lets all stay in loveless marriages!
by Anonymous14 years ago
or not get married if you're not absolutely positive you want to be stuck with the person for the rest of your life!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Definitely. People act like marriage is a short term thing.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I've never been one to complain about divorce but you should never marry if you're not ready/in love.
by Anonymous12 years ago
And that's the way it should be.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Like pregnancy...
by Anonymous12 years ago
^^exactly if youre not happy why stay in it?
by Anonymous14 years ago
My parents don't love each other anymore, but they're still married. It costs almost as much money to get the divorce as it does for a wedding.
by Anonymous12 years ago
because you're supposed to think marriage through, a ton. And because you vow to stay with your spouse for life
by Anonymous12 years ago
1 in 2 marriages end in divorce.

That's horrible!
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's sad, ain't it? People take marriage too lightly.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Way too lightly.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's not that people should stop getting divorced so much. People should stop getting married so soon.
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Chauncy Pickles): That's why OP said they need to take marriage more seriously
by Anonymous12 years ago
But his or her wording leads me to believe that he believes people should stay married even if doing so was a bad decision and the couple doesn't want to spend the rest of their lives together.
This post sounds like it says, "You're married now. Nobody says you have to love your spouse. You just have to live with your spouse until one of you is dead. Nobody likes it, but that's the way it has to be."
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Chauncy Pickles): I originally NWd, then I read carefully.
It said "so much", so I think OP means that some marriages don't work out but a lot of divorces aren't for good reasons.
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Chauncy Pickles): fair enough
by Anonymous12 years ago
Keep in mind, though, sometimes people divorce for good reasons...
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's like they just added in that "Till death do you part" part in for shits and giggles.
by Anonymous12 years ago
There's some brilliance in this post. It's saying that to take marriage more seriously, people shouldn't be divorcing as much. But another way to take marriage more seriously is to really pay attention and be careful about who you marry. If people do that, it will also lower divorce rates... It's very smart in a roundabout way.

When the person says take marraige more seriously, I think that means people should think out if they really want to go through this. I heard on a radio show once that if you have any second thoughts about it, then don't do it. Honestly, I don't think this is a bad idea considering the high divorce rate. By no means does this mean stay in bad marriages but rather think about how this will work out before you go into it. I understand that there are good divorce circumstances, but there are many who probably should have thought out their marriage. Like someone said, its not short term.
