Movies aren't meant to be as good as books, so I don't see why people get so worked up over things like that.

Sure thing! 7-10 hour movies are my FAVORITE! :) Seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in one 17 hour sitting would be epic! See where I'm going with this?

I agree fulheartedlty. Though maybe they don't need to use the WHOLE script, but at least not making characters something they're not and ruining scenes that you loved in the book. And in some cases, a 7-17 hour movie can beat a 1 and a half hour one. Just think of Avatar. Or the fact that a while ago, they believed that if you wanted ahit song, it coun't be much over 3 minutes. See? Long movies could be the way of the future!
