None of the main characters in Wolf's Rain had weird hair colors. Kyba-Black hair. Tsume-White hair. Toboe-Brown hair. Hige-Brown Hair. Blue-Black Hair. Cheza-Pink hair (she is the exception).

I looked at it as an exaggeration if someone said "Everybody hates me!" they don't literally mean everyone just that it seems like many do
