+486 US music is played all around the world, be it in France, Spain, Germany, or like China, but in the US we never hear any foreign music play, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Speak for yourself, I get foreign music.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know, I mean when you listen to popular radio stations in the US, you never hear music from like, France, whereas in France, 3/4 of the music played is American or English.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You never heard (for example) the beatles?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is exactly what I was going to say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think the OP means music not in english. we get a lot of british music here but it's a shame we don't listen to more music in other languages because i think its really beautiful sounding even if you don't understand the words. and sometimes it makes it better when you don't know the words

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Heaps of English music is played in the US. And if, say, French music were to be played, no one would understand the words, but most people in France speak in English so it doesn't matter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha, trust me most people in france DO NOT speak English, we learn it at school but a lot aren't that good haha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well there is a lot of mainstream artists that are Mexican and will have part of their song in Spanish

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, but you'll never hear a song in full French, Spanish or German on the radio. Unless you get those rare stations that are like only Mexican lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Meh. We do listen to other kinds of music. I, myself, listen to English, Irish, and Korean music. And I do live here in America. While SOME of it may not play on mainstream radio stations, we still have access to it. In fact, I've heard everything (except Korean) on my local station (Z100).

Iron Maiden (British,) Scorpions (German), Nightwish (Finnish), Apocalyptica (Finnish), JET (Australian). And then of course there's that Tunak Tunak Tun song.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Of course, but those groups sing mostly in English, and they're famous songs are in english. What's the Tunak Tunak Tun song haha ?

There might be a rare few bands that get radio time in America, but a LOT of American pop gets played in Europe.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I heard Du Hast by Rammstein on the radio once, but you're right, that is the only foreign song I've heard on the radio.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah it's so unfair! America sux!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Way to make us sound hella snotty

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My favorite band is almost entirely in Japanese. It's ridiculously hard to get their songs!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What about British music? I listen to that. And Bieber is Canadian and he's on the radio all the time. Get your facts straight you dumb cunt.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhm I think if the "dumb cunt" is directd to me, you're the stupid one because I'm not talking about British music and whatnot, I'm talking about music in different languages. --' .

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think the reason is because foreign language isn't taught in american schools, like english is taught in europe and other places.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

English is taught, but often people don't really understand song lyrics

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We learn foreign languages in America. . .
