+100 I would love to go to school if we didn't have to do work or homework and we got to take the classes we wanted, not classes that are irrelevant and required like World Humanities Asia. If school was like this, no one would drop out. amirite?

Have fun when you get a job...

If the only requirement were that you take the classes you want to take, people would drop out when there were no classes that interested them.

Summerhill in Britain is like this. Authorities kept trying to close it down because it wasn't even compulsory to show up to class (even though it was a boarding school). It looked pretty cool but definitely not for me.

This post was fine without the last sentence.

Not really seeing as that's the part that made if an opinion.

Just because you're not interested in a class doesn't mean it's not relevant or that it doesn't teach you something you should know.

I voted YYA! because I would love that and less people would drop out. Obviously no one would learn anything and this would be a terrible way to run a school, but technically everything in this post is true.

Take away all the work, and it's not so much "school" as it is "hanging out for 8 hours a day".
