+173 Cursing is not feminine and is not an attractive thing to be constantly coming out of a girl's mouth, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

So guys can do it, but, because it isn't "feminine" enough, girls can't? Fuck that! ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I said nothing about guys; I'm talking about girls. Any girl who has a bit of pride and an average vocabulary can find a better, more eloquent way to express herself.

You are so fucking right!

@263245 (humanrightsforall): It's kind of funny that so many women still complain that chivalry is dead...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what does women cursing have to do with chivalry dying? men should treat all women with respect regardless of whether or not they choose to swear, and vice versa. I would have agreed if you just said swearing is unattractive in general, but don't hold girls up to this antiquated ideal of femininity and purity that trapped so many women before us. Being outspoken and self-reliant was once not considered feminine either, but someone (some WOMAN) said "Fuck that!" and pushed for progress.

So tell the boys to stop. Who says it's so gorgeous when they swear?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fuck that!

I voted NW, because I think excessive cursing is unattractive and unpleasant in anyone, not just women. INB4 someone links something I wrote with excessive cursing in it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you voted NW, then why is your comment bubble blue?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because I optioned to not show my votes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why? You just told us so...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I doubt many guys care if she says a few curse words here and there.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It might not be attractive, but I don't see why people care if it's feminine. Women these days are getting farther and farther away from femininity. We have just as much a right to curse as guys do.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why is this directed at girls?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I know of something that can come INTO a girls mouth. ;] But fuck this post, bitch

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I actually heard a psychologist, or sociologist, or something say on the Tyra Show (yes, the Tyra Show) that excessive swearing actually turns guys off. So yeah, this is true to a degree, but it's pretty obvious by every one else's comments that excessive swearing is overall, an unattractive quality. It's not repulsive so much because it isn't feminine, but because it's coarse, crude, and uneducated sounding. This post comes off as being sexist because of that, even though you (OP) may very well be a girl. It's not limited to gender.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ex-fucking-scuuuse me? You better shut your bitch ass the fuck up, women have the same fucking rights as men, we can do anything you can do except FUCKING BETTER BITCH. I'll cuss all the damn hell I want, and I'm still a perfectly proper fucking lady.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

... Was this supposed to be funny?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think so. It wasn't very good... but aI see where they were going. So I upvoted them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Swearing is unattractive period. It doesn't matter if your a guy or a girl and frankly what you said sounded like it came from the 50's.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's also not an attractive thing to constantly be coming out of a man's mouth, too. Here and there is fine, but if it's every other word out of your mouth, then it's just annoying and unattractive.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Idk why everyone trips about swear words I don't even pick up on them when people say them. Ha ha if a dude cussed all the time or not at all I wouldn't really care either way.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

fuck this post...& that's from a girl :]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I smell double standards... And honestly, who decided what it means to be or not be feminine? Those are simply concepts normalized by society a long time ago. Besides, everyone likes different things. I can tell you one thing that's not attractive, though: making such generalizations.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i say it's just as unattractive when guys swear....so it has nothing to do with being feminine and masculine..you can be more feminine than the girl next door and yet swear like hell

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Swearing just isn't very ladylike, but no one is saying that you have to be feminine and ladylike. If you don't want to be, then swear away.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly. It's not ladylike, and the OP is saying that guys tend o like girls that act ladylike. And also, he/she mean't EXCESSIVE swearing, like saying fuck in regular conversation and stuff.
