I started crying, while still taking it...bad memories
by Anonymous12 years ago
I wanted to fail, but I was too scared to drive badly and so I passed against my will. It's a long story, but the gist of it is that I was in a car accident and was afraid to drive but my mother still made me take Drivers Ed.
But then I didn't renew my license when it expired, so I win

L2 Conquer your fears pansy.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Excuse me for being afraid of possibly inflicting on others the same terrible pain and fear I felt
by Anonymous12 years ago
did you get hurt in the accident? How old were you? And you have to renew your license? I thought once I passed i had that shit forever. lol :P
by Anonymous12 years ago
I got hurt. I was thirteen. And yeah, you have to renew it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Sucks :( Well sorry about calling you a pansy, but unless you want to live where you work then I suggest you DO conquer your fears...
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's a completely rational fear though.

Fucking parallel parking. I have had my license for over three years and have never needed to parallel park.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Wow really?! I legit have had to parallel park at least twice a week! :-S
by Anonymous12 years ago
They took that off our test now, I've never had to use it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I guess it depends on where you do your test because in my area if you pass the first time, it is a freaking miracle! The actually driving test is 45 minutes and they make you do everything imaginably possible on the test. Super stressful. :-S
by Anonymous12 years ago
Wow, are you serious? Our driving test is 8 minutes almost exactly.
by Anonymous12 years ago
8 minutes!!! I spent more than 10 minutes on parking alone: reverse stall parking, parallel, curb parking (up and down hill) 4 times...then to top that, in 2 years I have to take another test which is one hour long!

Wear your seat belt. Make sure your instructor is wearing it also. Don't hit anything. Stop completely at every stop sign. Don't run a red light. Don't speed. Stay in the appropriate lane. Always use your signal. It's really not that hard.
by Anonymous12 years ago
They failed me because I came to a complete stop at a stop sign, inched up to see, and didn't come to a second complete stop before going.
Any reason they can find to fail you, they will.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Damn, I'm sorry. My instructor was pretty lenient. I know some people who had bitchy ones.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It was the damn quick stop that got me. Where I took it, they want you to accelerate towards the end of the parking lot. At the end of the parking lot, there is a row of huge oak trees. Great planning.

Everyone that voted YYA must be women.
by Anonymous12 years ago
i'll admit that some automatic fail things are pretty strict, but otherwise, at least in this state, you have to miss 15 points on your score before you fail. its not too bad.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You have to miss 3 points not to pass where I live ):
by Anonymous12 years ago
In my state its 30 points to fail we must be lenient :/
by Anonymous12 years ago
take my first one tomorrow GEEZUS!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Godspeed.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I passed :D
by Anonymous12 years ago
CONGRADULASHUNS!!! :D
by Anonymous12 years ago
Thank you! :D
by Anonymous12 years ago
The guy gave me about .45 seconds warning to pull over and I came in too steep and ended up pinning my wheels against the curb. Yeah, I failed 2 minutes in. :O
by Anonymous12 years ago
For the driving test here you take 4 right turns and park. You don't even have to parallel park.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That is kind of ridiculous :-S
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah but I'm not complaining. One of my friends still almost failed because she turned left
by Anonymous12 years ago
They didn't make you do any left turns on your exam?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I actually haven't taken it yet but nope, you basically just go around a really big bock.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I hit the curb driving, but then proceeded to pull of the most kick ass parallel park job ever so the lady decided to pass me. Her facial expression pretty much said WTF...
by Anonymous12 years ago
My test was only like 10 minutes long, and I didn't even need to parallel park. They took it off the test temporarily, and I jumped at the chance to take it before they put it back on.
I'm thinking I should have failed, though, because during the uphill/downhill park, I'm 90% sure I hit the curb as I was starting the park, which I was told was an automatic fail. I was like '@&#$ Did I hit the curb?' and my instructor was all 'lolsorry, can't tell youuu' and then I stopped and asked if I could try it again, and he let me. So...
(Little tidbit, my instructor was a deadringer for Nick Stokes on CSI.)
