+617 Miley Cyrus needs to realize that no matter how "grown up" she acts and dresses, she still has a large audience of young girls that want to be just like her. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The timing of this post is ironic

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because she hit up the bong?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol i heard that on the news, i think she'sjust trying to escape the fact that she and justin bieber suck at singing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha yeah probably. She's an absolute idiot, I swear...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

she's a slut, whore, and brittany spears wanna be

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe she doesn't want to be a role model.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Going out of your way to become a famous teen pop star with music directed towards a younger audience kind of automatically gives you the responsibility of a role model...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What can you point out about smoking salvia that makes it wrong? It's legal and it's not unhealthy. Maybe the pictures she occasionally puts out aren't too inspiring for kids, but generally, she's a fine role model.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, but you don't want little 5 year old girls wanting to do drugs so they can be like Miley Cyrus...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This is true. Maybe it'd be better if they called it a natural herb, instead, which is what it is. I don't know, I don't think it's right that she should have to sacrifice a massive part of her growing up (and I don't just mean experimenting) just because little girls look up to her. It seems like people want her to stay a little girl forever.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Salvia is legaaaal.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(:)): In California.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So? That's like saying if you get drunk in England when you're 18 it's still illegal because the age in America is 21.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

which is where she lives.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(:)): Haha I'm aware.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really don't see the big deal. She smoked a bit of legal, relatively safe, non-addictive herb. What's with all the flack? I also don't buy into the role-model crap. Experimentation and finding out who you are happen to be vital parts of growing up, so you really can't get mad at her for doing so. She can't dedicate her life to her younger fans, especially since it's barely started. Besides, she is showing the girls where they will end up, so she does serve as a functional role-model, no?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Experimenting with drugs is vital to growing up? You're kidding, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't mean vital, so much as a quintessential experience. Vast amounts of people experiement with drugs around this age. It's part of growing up. It's something everyone should do at least once, and most people have.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree. At 18 years old she's doing something that so many other people start doing years sooner. Also, if everyone just smoked a little weed, no one would be freaking out about anything this silly. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but this actually kind of made me respect her in a weird way. And on top of that, if she was out drinking, I feel like it wouldn't make such big news, which is ridiculous. Underage drinking is illegal, damaging, and addictive. Salvia is none of those!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. Drugs get such a bad reputation because of the people that take them. Both good and bad people do them, but only bad people get the publicity. That, coupled with the fact that alcohol is a legal substance lead people to believe that it's not as bad. Alcohol is one of the worst possible substances you can put in your body. Salvia is just fine, if only a bit scary.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So basically what your saying is that it's all right to do drugs?? And that each teenager/young adult has a right to endanger their lives, and the lives of people around them?? Oh thats great. Ima go get stoned now and then get in a car crash on the way home and kill myself and the other car full of innocent people... Not to mention how drugs basically destroy your body...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You sound like a typical person uneducated about drugs. Why on Earth would someone with common sense get stoned and go for a drive? Besides, it's been proven that marijuana impairs people significantly less than alcohol, and people are more aware of their impairment than when drunk. A few drugs such as cannabis, salvia, LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, and DMT are really not too toxic, and show no long term damage to the body when used regularly. Even harder drugs like cocaine can be used occasionally without any negative side-effects. Fact of the matter is, all illegal drugs combined only caused 17,000 deaths last year. Legal substances like tobacco and alcohol caused 440,000 and 100,000, respectively. Look how significant of a difference that is. Even prescription drugs caused more deaths than illegal drugs. So yes, I'm saying it's alright to do drugs. If people can't use them responsibly. . . Well, I like to call it natural selection.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes but your acting stereotypical when saying drugs aren't bad. My brother was seriously injured, and my uncle was killed by a high teenager driving. So don't tell me that drugs aren't bad. Statistics don't prove anything

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I just had a heart attack. Did you seriously just say that statistics don't prove anything? Guess what? Shit happens, and you can't blame drugs for someone being irresponsible. Traffic collisions are responsible for well over twice as many deaths per year than all drugs combined. Are motor vehicles bad, too?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually yes. Escpecially for the environment... But that's getting off topic. If alcohol somehow didn't exsist in a parallel universe. Drugs would still be bad and will still kill people. I'm not saying that alcohol isn't bad, but that has nothing to do with this

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I find it hilarious that I turn on the news and its the first fucking story they're talking about. Lol. Wow.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The funniest thing is I thought she was annoying before she was high...but damn she hit a whole new level today...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, wow. While looking at all these comments, I've definitely been reading that she's been smoking SALIVA this whole time. And I thought Ewww, that's really disgusting! And then I realized...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you try having your every move documented and criticised for the entire world to see and judge. She's her own person, she's an adult, she can do what she wants. If parents don't want their kids looking up to her, don't let them. I have a 5 year old(well, 5 on tues) she doesn't even know who miley cyrus/hannah montanna is. You could say the same for a porn star. Omg how could jenna jameson do that?!? Doesn't she know people look up to her????? No. That's on the parents. If you don't want your child exposed to something its pretty easy to keep it away.
