+428 When you were young you were never actually in a school play where you had to dress up in those big ridiculous costumes like they do on T.V, amirite?

I was the middle part of a conga line in third grade, that really helped my stage fright :|

My sister was once a bag of sugar. I was in a circus play where I dressed up as a mother, in a red and black shirt and skirt, and danced around in a circle with my 3 ''children.''

I had to be a jack-in-the-box... a Seal, and a dog

I had to be the ghost of one of the Beatles. So basically a bed sheet with a wig.

What play was that?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wtf. That sounds like a strange play...

The Beatles Slept Here. Technically speaking, I played a teenage guy (there was a shortage of guys auditioning, so I had to be a guy :/) and he was playing as the ghost of one of the Beatles.

I've been a duck(it was just a mask) and a snowman. The snowman was the absolute worst.

I was once a crocodile, a carrot, and a bunny. The carrot was probably the most demeaning.

Never had to wear a huge costume, but rather the opposite last semester. I was a gargoyle, so I had to wear a grey unitard. It was godawful.

The worst part was that we had to get our own costumes...I had to find a ballgown, complete with itchy taffeta petticoat, that would fit me in 7th grade, and a historically accurate dress and giant hat for Hello Dolly in 5th grade. And then in high school I had to be a fish...I'm fairly certain I managed to hit someone in the audience in the face more than once.
