+397 It must suck to live in a state that is land-locked. amirite?

It'd probably be very similar to living in a state that isn't land-locked, but not live on the shore. It's not really at all bad. There are lakes and rivers so it's not like there isn't any water. Plus, you'd have a difficult time justifying this to the people who live on the Gulf of Mexico right now.

Why do you say that? I live (literally) two minutes, walking, away from the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Everything's just fine. . . I absolutely love living on the coast. :D

I've lived in a land locked state all my life. I guess it would suck if I were used to seeing the ocean everyday, but I'm not. It's just normal...

Kansas, it's land locked and has no natural lakes but that's not why it sucks. People always asking about Dorothy and if it's as flat as a pancake is why it sucks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

all of that, plus everybody assumes I live on a farm when I live in the KC suburbs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, hey, you're from Kansas too? Sweet.

It's not that bad... There's lakes in South Dakota. I live about twenty minutes from this lake, and it's fantastic. http://tiny.cc/ctxn6

Pennsylvania is cool, and doesn't border an ocean. I live nowhere near Lake Erie, so that doesn't count.

PA blows.

Florida here. Water on three sides, and lots of lakes (in my area at least). Beat that!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Michigan! We have five lakes, suckaaas.
