In 10-20 years they should remake the Harry Potter series with a 7-season TV series, amirite?

To bring the magic of Harry Potter to another generation. And while I am a fan of the movies, I'm not going to pretend like the series as a whole is great. Each movie has significant flaws that could be addressed with a remake.

I agree! The movies are good, but they're nothing fantastic. And they could improve so much if they remade it. And tv series give you so much more to work with than movies.

@289008 (Anonymous): Flaws make the movies and books how they are, why the need to perfect it? It's not a bad point, but you can bring the magic and everything else to the next generation by just giving them the book/movies...

A Very Potter Musical exists. Youtube it. You'll die laughing. Anyway YES the movies should get a remake god they don't do much justice to the books. (I mean, why burn the burrow, for god's sake?)

Ah! The possibilites are too much for me to handle! It's like... It'll be too amazing, know what I mean? It'll be kinda weird. A new cast would be unsettling. I guess I would look forward to it with apprehension.

Eh, not really. There's not really a need. Just like Friends wouldn't need a movie or how they shouldn't have made the 10 Things I hate about you into a tv show (that flopped). With new actors/actresses it just wouldn't be the same. It'll end on a high note with the last movie and I think it should just be left at that.

The Harry Potter books are just way too long to be made into movies. A TV show would let them get more things in, like the quidditch world cup.

Seems like it could have a LOT of potential....but a lot of things like that can be ruined very easily. Hopefully they don't cast a bunch of failures. With talented and caring actors then it could thrive. Writing is a big thing too. The writing must also have the need for good acting.

At first, I thought whoever posted this was insane, because of what's happened with a lot of movies this has happened to. But, I don't know, if handled correctly, we could get the Harry Potter books down to (almost) the last detail. That's the ideal, of course. It would probably be horrible, but we can dream, right? :)
