Seeing "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS" on the debit machine is the worst. Not only does that mean you have no more money, but now the cashier thinks you're a broke idiot, amirite?

This happened to me and my husband recently. We had deposited our tax check earlier in the day and later went grocery shopping. We had over $300 worth of groceries. He swiped his card and it said "DECLINED - INSUFFICIENT FUNDS". I felt like the biggest loser in the world, even though we HAD the money.
