The only reason I don't like that "band" Is because all he sings about is his insomnia. It's really stupid.

Well that's how he got started. He couldn't sleep at night so he went down into his basement and started making music. And it's not ALL about insomnia. There are more songs NOT about insomnia than songs that ARE. Try The Bird and the Worm, If My Heart Was a House, I'll Meet You There, Rainbow Veins, or The Saltwater Room. All great songs. None about insomnia.

The Ready Set didn't use his own name. Band names jus sound cooler on my opinion. Plus it flows with the genre they are associated with.

A lot of artists have stage names. Deadmou5, LCD Soundsystem, Owl City. They're all one person, and there are a ton others that I can't think of right now.
