Jajajaja!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think that the second time too, what else could it mean?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think that's how spanish/mexican people say hahahahaha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah it is. :)

Actually 'ja' is the afrikaans word for yes, and its usually used when someone tells you something you all ready know, or you don't want to do. Like when your mother tells you to pick up your washing, "jaja, ill do it now" is a common reply, basically like "yeah whatever ill do it now" I don't know how you use it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol thats so true, i doubt thats what they meant to say. Whats yes in dutch?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In German ja means yes. But its pronounced ya not ja.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I understand how theres different WORDS in different languages. But to the point where we LAUGH in different languages is just plain retarded :p

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's just because in spanish the h is silent so if we put haha it would be pronounced a-a. just like in english some people may not read the j in jaja as an h sound. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I read it as if it were German ("ya") and was confused because the person was South American but then I realized it was laughter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didn't know what context it was used in. That's really weird though. I live in South Africa and my friends would consider it really strange if I started laughing using jaja, instead of haha. Thanks for the culture lesson. :)

Cutee a couple of my friends are afrikaans! You like Die hewels fantasties? =)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Think "jalapeno". The "J" sounds like an "H".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm more into the metal scene lately, but yes I do! I'm going to one of their concerts soonish. Are you american?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm from Belgium. "Ja" in Dutch means "yes" Soo.. I've never considered it a Spanish laugh:p

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well, i'm american, so that's not what i thought it was either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's how you spell haha in spanish because 'h' is silent in spanish (hola), and 'j' makes an 'h' sound (jalapeno)
