"Is" is just a conjugation of the verb "to be", which is easy enough to define. "Be" I am You are He/she is Etc. I couldn't define the words "of" or "the", though.

^^^^^ wow losers doing research up there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, no. You can feel free to search any Internet source or print source available. I did not research those answers. I merely took a moment to think about the answer and used my knowledge to answer the question in the best possible way I could. Apparently, it is a very good answer, because you accused me of cheating. Yes, I am a "loser" (in the best sense possible) because of my love of English, but just because someone knows something that you don't doesn't mean that he or she is worthy of insult or accusation of cheating.

That depends on what the definition of "is" is.

Um, because they know something basic makes them losers? You're just jealous because you obviously failed English class. @310187 Thank you for that! I literally laughed out loud and caused strangers on the bus to stare at me. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's just a definite article in the singular tense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago
